The PGA Tour returns to action this week in the great state of Hawaii, where Jordan Spieth will try to defend his title at the Tournament of Champions.
The event is no longer officially the first tournament of the new season because of the addition of the fall series, but the first tournament of the calendar year still offers new beginnings to Tour stars. Spieth is in the field this week, and he will joined by an impressive cast that features six U.S. Ryder Cup members.
Jason Day is also in the field. The world's top player has not played in an event since the Tour Championship — which he withdrew from — while dealing with a back injury.
