The Wild have a wealth of young players heading into Wednesday’s expansion draft. By the time it ends, they might not. GM Chuck Fletcher exposed young blue liners Matt Dumba and Marco Scandella to the Vegas Golden Knights, as well as veteran forward Eric Staal and speedster Erik Haula. The Wild could throw a pick, a prospect or both at Vegas to steer them towards a less-important player -- and Golden Knights GM George McPhee has expressed plenty of enthusiasm at the idea -- but Minnesota stands to lose a quality player or major pieces regardless.
