Now that Drew Brees has made clear he's not retiring, the New Orleans Saints have put themselves on the clock to get a new deal done with their franchise quarterback.
Saints general manager Mickey Loomis told Sirius XM NFL Radio at the NFL combine that the team is looking to re-sign Brees before free agency opens March 18.
"That would be our goal," Loomis said. "Because then you at least have clarity going into the beginning of free agency of exactly what you have available and the structure that you have.
