The Kansas City Royals received the news they were hoping for Sunday after a scary collision between Gold Glove outfielder Alex Gordon and third baseman Mike Moustakas.
Neither player was severely injured after they got tangled up chasing a fly ball in the sixth inning against the White Sox. Both fell to the ground and Gordon slammed his head on the tarp at U.S. Cellular Field where he lay motionless before the training staff quickly attended to him.
He stayed in the game but was taken out the next inning.
Alex Gordon appeared to be knocked out after his head hit the tarp, but he stayed in the game.
