Jaylen Adams matched his career high with 31 points and hit the big shots in the final 36 seconds, leading St. Bonaventure to a 79-72 victory over No. 15 Dayton, the Bonnies’ first road win over a ranked team in their history.
Adams’s 3-pointer with 36 seconds to go snapped a 72-72 tie. He added four free throws in the closing seconds to help the Bonnies (18-7, 10-4 Atlantic 10) pull off an improbable win.
The Flyers (21-5, 11-3) were coming off a 79-70 loss at St. Joseph’s on Wednesday. They had not lost consecutive games in their last 77 games, the third-longest active streak behind Villanova and Kansas.
