Roundup: Ohio State Beats Illini After a Slow Start; Florida Holds Off South Carolina

Ezekiel Elliott ran for 181 yards and two touchdowns and No. 2 Ohio State pounded out a 28-3 victory on the road over Illinois on Saturday.

The Buckeyes (10-0, 6-0 Big Ten) started slowly and led by 7-3 for much of the first half before Elliott picked up the pace. Elliott accounted for 50 of the Buckeyes’ 75 yards on a third-quarter drive that opened a 21-3 lead over the Illini (5-5, 2-4).

Quarterback J. T. Barrett, starting again after being suspended for last week’s game, threw for 150 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
