Patriots rookie wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell suffered a gruesome injury to his elbow Thursday in his debut exhibition game.
Mitchell dislocated his left elbow in the second quarter while catching a pass against Saints rookie defensive back De'Vante Harris. The injury, officially ruled an elbow subluxation, knocked him out for the remainder of the game. It will likely cost him the first four weeks of the regular season.

Prior to the injury, Mitchell caught four passes for 55 yards from backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
