The penultimate game of the 1986 World Series so goes without saying that when Keith Hernandez was on “Seinfeld,” all that needed to be said was, “he was in Game 6!”

The 10-inning thriller between the Mets and Red Sox, when New York came back to win after being a strike away from elimination, will be in the annals of baseball forever. But here’s the thing: it wasn’t even the best Game 6 the Mets played during the 1986 postseason.
