Italian clubs are waiting in the wings to offer Rasmus Hojlund a route back to Serie A if Manchester United decide to part ways prematurely.
It’s remarkable that selling the £64 million acquisition just two years into his Red Devils tenure is even a consideration, although it’s just a testament to how truly dire United’s transfer business has been over the last decade.
There remains an element of hope amongst those involved at the club that Hojlund will eventually come good, given he’s just 22 years old. However, he seems to have regressed more this term following a generally acceptable maiden season in England, in which he finished with 16 goals in all competitions.
