It's not quite announcing his return to the Yankees from George Steinbrenner's luxury suite, but former pitcher Roger Clemens is returning to the mound this summer.
The 53-year-old Clemens is headlining a roster made up almost entirely of former major league players that will partake in the National Baseball Congress World Series set to begin in Aug. The team also features Rick Ankiel, Dan Uggla and the recently retired Adam LaRoche. Joining Clemens on the mound will former major league pitchers Josh Beckett, Brad Penny and Roy Oswalt, among others.
Clemens is one of four pitchers on the team with 20-win seasons in the big leagues.
