Robinson Cano shed some light Thursday on the incident that led to former Mariners coach Andy Van Slyke blasting him last year.
Speaking on 710 ESPN Seattle's "Brock and Salk" Friday morning, Cano attributed the rant to a discussion he had with Van Slyke last season regarding shortstop Brad Miller.

Cano told mynorthwest.com that he'd asked Miller to take some pitches while batting so players behind him in the lineup could get a better look at pitch movement.
