ATLANTA — Two players from a youth traveling hockey team in Oklahoma in the late 1990s grew up to be professional athletes. Even more mind-boggling, the first one to grace the playoffs in his sport was not Sam Bradford, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback drafted by the St. Louis Rams with the No. 1 pick in 2010.
Robert Streb, who was a foot shorter than Bradford when they laced up skates for the Oklahoma City junior Blazers, has reached the FedEx Cup playoffs the past two seasons. This year he advanced to the PGA Tour Championship for the first time.
