A United Soccer League match between the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and New York Red Bulls II turned ugly Saturday night when Riverhounds forward Romeo Parkes took a vicious cheap shot on Red Bulls defender Karl Ouimette.
After a scuffle involving multiple players late in the second half of New York's 3-1 win, Parkes and Ouimette both received red cards. As Ouimette walked off the field, Parkes launched a dirty kick directly into Ouimette's back.
Ouimette was taken off the field on a stretcher. There has been no official update from the club on his condition.
