Rio Olympics 2016: With Allyson Felix out, Tori Bowie carries U.S. medal chances in 200

Allyson Felix didn't qualify to defend her 200 meters title at the Rio Olympics, and the woman who knocked her out at the U.S. trials won't have a chance at the podium.

Jenna Prandini finished fourth in her semifinal heat Tuesday in a time of 22.55, failing to advance to Wednesday night's final. U.S. teammates Tori Bowie and Deajah Stevens will be in the field of eight runners running for gold.

At the U.S. Olympic trials last month, Prandini edged Felix for third place by one one-hundredth of a second, keeping the London gold medalist from the event in Rio.
