Angelique Kerber produced a masterclass to book her place in the women's singles final at Rio 2016, as she beat Madison Keys of the United States 6-3, 7-5 Friday at the Olympic Tennis Centre.
The 2016 Australian Open champion and Wimbledon finalist Kerber was almost flawless in a superb display of grit and determination, nullifying the power of her opponent with a textbook display of returning.
The German made just one unforced error in an opening set she dominated, holding her serve in a tense eighth game before claiming the second break of the match with a powerful forehand down the line.
