There will be no medal for the United States' 4x100-meter relay team. Friday's disqualification stands, track and field officials announced.
That means Canada will get the bronze at Saturday night's medal ceremony.
The four U.S. sprinters were taking a lap around the track on Friday when they learned they had been disqualified. Officials said leadoff runner Mike Rodgers passed the baton to Justin Gatlin before the start of the exchange zone.
"It was the twilight zone. It was a nightmare," Gatlin said Friday night. "You work so hard with your teammates, guys you compete against almost all year long.
