Usain Bolt's curtain call on Day 14 was exactly what we expected.
The men's 4x100m relay was tight between Jamaica, Japan and the U.S. heading into the anchor leg. Then Bolt took the baton. He blew past the field and secured his ninth Olympic gold medal and completed triple-triple he's been talking about (three consecutive gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay). The U.S. men were disqualified after an exchange outside of the box.
On the women's side, the U.S. held off a surging Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica in the anchor leg to secure its second straight gold in the 4x100m relay.
