Katie Ledecky is an insane human being in water.
On Day 7 of the Olympics, Ledecky finished a good 12 seconds ahead of the silver medalist in the 800m freestyle Friday night, in the process smashing her old world record by two seconds. It's just too bad swimming is almost over in Rio — we'll have to wait another four years for more Ledecky.
Day 8 ushers in a bunch of track and field competition, including the women's 100m final.
All of the events can be found live or tape-delayed on seven NBC affiliates throughout the day and live online at NBCOlympics.
