Rio Olympics 2016: Ryan Lochte's mother said he was robbed at gunpoint, others deny it

The IO is denying claims by Ryan Lochte’s mother that Lochte was held up at gunpoint in Rio early Sunday morning.

Ileana Lochte told USA Today that her son and at least one teammate were robbed as they were on their way to meet Brazilian swimmer Thiago Pereira for a party.

According to Ileana’s story, the teammates were mugged by a group of people with guns and knives when a cab they were in stopped for gas.
