Rio Olympics 2016: Ekaterina Makarova, Elena Vesnina take doubles gold for Russia

Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina beat Martina Hingis and Timea Bacsinszky in straight sets to win women's doubles Olympic gold for Russia on Sunday.

An Olympic medal was among the few major honors missing in Hingis' collection before she arrived to Rio and the veteran Swiss had to be content with silver after Makarova and Vesnina triumphed, 6-4 6-4.
