BRISTOL, Tenn. — Rick Hendrick says that Dale Earnhardt Jr. is looking great, but everyone is still being cautious about when he’ll make his return to racing.
Jeff Gordon, who has driven the past three races filling in for Earnhardt and will drive again on Saturday night at Bristol, will not drive for the team at Michigan, even if Earnhardt is unable to do so. Alex Bowman confirmed on Twitter that he was standing by for Earnhardt if needed at Michigan.
