Now here’s a birthday party fit for The King.
Richard Petty will celebrate his 80th birthday on July 2nd, but the folks at Dover International Speedway decided to throw a little early birthday bash for The King prior to the running of the AAA 400 Drive for Autism (12:30 p.m. EDT, FS1).
The coolest part was the cake, a replica of the Ford Torino Cobra that Petty drove to victory in the first NASCAR Premier Series race ever at Dover, the 1969 Mason-Dixon 300.
