Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette has been placed on injured reserve and will be out for the rest of the season with a neck injury, the team announced Saturday on its website.
Lockette was injured when he took a huge hit from Dallas Cowboys safety Jeff Heath on a punt return in the first half of Seattle's 13-12 victory over the Cowboys in Week 8.
With Lockette being placed on IR, the Seahawks activated second-year wide receiver Paul Richardson from the physically unable to perform list. Richardson will likely make his season debut Sunday when Seattle takes on the Arizona Cardinals, according to Seahawks.
