There was a rare incident of coach-on-coach crime committed Sunday.
The perpetrator was Bill Cowher of CBS' The NFL Today. The victim was fired Bills coach Rex Ryan. The former Super Bowl-winning Steelers coach may have put the final nail in the coffin of Ryan's NFL coaching career.
While speaking about Ryan's sudden unemployment, Cowher laid the smackdown on the former Jets coach. Instead of "tempering expectations" for a club that's missed the post-season for 17 years, the big-talking Ryan promised "results" he didn't deliver. Instead of "trying to build a culture" in Buffalo, Ryan focused on himself.
