Playing in the NFL takes its toll on athletes, and as more retired players step forward to discuss troubles they face after football, more long-term effects are recognized and researched.
Now, former NFL guard Conrad Dobler is stepping forward.

"I have six kids. I don’t even know their names," Dobler told USA Today.
Dobler says he used to have great memory, but now he struggles to remember even simple tasks. He told USA Today he underwent neurological testing to determine whether he has some sort of brain disease, but the tests were inconclusive.
