Charlie Haeger, who played five seasons in MLB as a pitcher, was found dead with an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound on Saturday while being sought by police on suspicion of murder, according to azcentral.com.
The 37-year-old was reportedly wanted following the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend, Danielle Breed, who owned The Tipsy Coyote Bar and Grill in Scottsdale.
Haeger’s body was reportedly found on a trail in the Grand Canyon around 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Police reportedly responded to a report of gunshots Friday evening, when Breed’s roommate said he heard gunshots upon returning to their residence on Friday.
