USA Basketball is working to replace guard Bradley Beal on the 12-person Olympic roster, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Beal was placed in Team USA's health and safety protocols on Wednesday. It has not been publicly confirmed if he has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to The Athletic, Beal is still in Las Vegas and is quarantined while awaiting further information.

News of Beal's potential replacement comes as Pistons forward Jerami Grant, who was also one of the 12 players selected to represent the U.S. in men's basketball at the Tokyo Olympics, has also entered Team USA's health and safety protocols, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania and Joe Vardon.
