Two Vanderbilt players are recovering from gunshot wounds after a meeting over a stolen cell phone turned violent, according to Nashville police. The Tennessean reports that defensive backs Tae Daley and Frank Coppet have suffered leg and arm injuries, respectively, after they were shot outside a Target on Monday night in an arranged meeting between two groups. The injuries are not considered critical.
A third Vanderbilt player, wide receiver Donaven Tennyson, reportedly arranged the meeting to recover a cell phone that had been stolen from him by another party in Nashville.
