Pittsburgh Steelers safety Kameron Kelly was arrested early Friday morning after a confrontation at a bar in Pittsburgh that allegedly was regarding a music selection, per multiple reports. Kelly then reportedly got into an altercation with police officers and allegedly was punched in the face multiple times while being taken into custody, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reported.
Kelly was charged with terroristic threats and resisting arrest.
Update (1:52 p.m. ET): The Steelers announced they released Kelly after his arrest and brought Marcus Allen back up from the practice squad. Allen played in two games last season, his rookie year, and played at Penn State.
