Seven medical professionals have been charged with "simple homicide with eventual intent" in the death of Diego Maradona, according to ESPN's Adriana Garcia.
The prosecutors' office in Argentina, which has opened an investigation into Maradona's death, requested to a judge that the seven individuals indicted not be allowed to leave the country, per ESPN.
If found guilty, the defendants could face up to 25 years in prison. Testimonies will be on May 31.
Maradona died at 60 years old last November. News of his death came just two weeks after he underwent surgery to remove a blood clot on his brain.
