Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has not looked like himself all season. He is leading the league in interceptions with 17 and has only thrown nine touchdown passes in nine games. On Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, he had the worst game of his career, completing only five passes, while being picked off four times.
It had become increasingly obvious that Manning was playing injured, and now we know exactly what that injury is. According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Manning had been playing through plantar fasciitis, which has worsened into a torn plantar fascia in his right foot.
