Offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen has reportedly signed his restricted free agent tender to stay with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2025 season, according to Aaron Wilson.
A restricted free agent is a player with three accrued seasons in the NFL. The Jaguars already placed an original round tender on Van Lanen, but he still had the ability to meet and negotiate with other teams.
By receiving the original round tender, had another team offered Van Lanen a contract, the Jaguars would have had the opportunity to match the deal to keep Van Lanen.
