Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to back surgery, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
According to the Denver Post's Mike Singer, Porter Jr. is tentatively scheduled to undergo the surgical procedure on Wednesday.
Porter Jr.'s agent, Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports, told the Denver Post, "We are extremely optimistic that he’ll make a full recovery."
Last week, the Post reported Porter Jr. had a nerve issue that could keep him out for the remainder of the season.
