Report: Mets Agree to Deal with Reliever Dellin Betances After Eight Seasons with Yankees

The New York Mets have reportedly agreed to a deal with right-handed reliever Dellin Betances, according to Andy Martino of SNY. Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports it is a one-year deal. ESPN's Jeff Passan says there are two player options included.

The New York Post's Joel Sherman added that the Mets plan to officially announce the deal on Tuesday.

Betances, 31, is coming off a season in which he played in just one game and pitched 2/3 of an inning. He missed the majority of the season due to a bone spur in his right shoulder that was causing discomfort.
