Report: Jets Owner to 'Remain Patient' With Head Coach Adam Gase Despite 1–7 Start

Jets owner Christopher Johnson will likely "remain patient" with head coach Adam Gase, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Gase is in his first year as New York's head coach. The Jets enter Sunday's matchup with the Giants at 1–7 after three consecutive losses.

The Jets' season hit a low point on Nov. 3 as the team lost 26-18 to the previously-winless Dolphins in Miami. Gase was the Dolphins' head coach for three years from 2016-18, posting a 23–25 record. Miami finished under .500 in each of Gase's final two seasons.

New York fired former head coach Todd Bowles after four seasons from 2014-18.
