Report: Jamal Adams will play for Seahawks on existing contract after Jets trade

Safety Jamal Adams has a new home with the Seattle Seahawks after the New York Jets traded him, but he’ll be playing on the same contract he originally signed with Jets.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Adams and the Seahawks agreed that he would play out the 2020 season on his 2017 rookie deal. The Seahawks and Adams reportedly agreed to this before the trade was finalized. According to NFL Network’s Kevin Patra, Adams, 24, will make about $3.59 million in 2020, and $9.86 million in 2021.
