The Kansas City Chiefs are set to re-shuffle their offensive line next season in a bid to shore up Patrick Mahomes' protection in the passing game.
In a press conference on Monday, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid confirmed to reporters that up-and-coming tackle Kingsley Suamataia, who joined Kansas City as a second-round pick in 2024, would be expected to compete for playing time at left guard next season.
Reid's decision to have Suamataia play as a guard instead of a tackle came just months after the Chiefs achieved mixed results by desperately attempting to fix their line in the run-up to Super Bowl LIX by moving All-Pro guard Joe Thuney to the left tackle spot.
