The Los Angeles Chargers and pass rusher Joey Bosa have agreed to an extension that sets an NFL record for guaranteed money for a defensive player, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
The deal is for five years and $135 million with $78 million guaranteed at signing and $102 million guaranteed overall, according to the report.
The deal eclipses that of Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, who signed a five-year extension on July 15 valued at $125 million with $100 million guaranteed and $50 million guaranteed at signing.
