Uncrustables have increasingly become part of an NFL player's diet, according to The Athletic's Jayson Jenks.
Jenks wrote Thursday the pre-packaged peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are hugely popular in NFL locker rooms, to the point that at least 80,000 Uncrustables are consumed throughout the league across an entire season.
Per Jenks, the Denver Broncos scarf down 700 sandwiches a week, which is the highest estimate in the NFL. The Seattle Seahawks are second with 320 sandwiches. Maybe that's the secret to Denver's 4-3 record and second-place position in the AFC West.
For fans unfamiliar with the Uncrustable, it's a rounded PB&J mass-produced by Smuckers.
