Police in Argentina are searching for a player who shot and killed a referee after he was given a red card for a foul during an amateur soccer match, the Daily Mirror reported Monday.
The match took place in Campo de la Ribera, the provincial capital of Cordoba, on Sunday. According to multiple reports, the suspect retrieved a handgun from his bag after being ejected from the game and shot 48-year-old referee Cesar Flores in the head, neck and chest. Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another player, 25-year-old Walter Zarate, was shot once in the chest.
