SANDY, Utah — A defensive implosion could mean major lineup changes ahead for Real Salt Lake.
Little has gone right for Real Salt Lake this season, mainly because the Utah club can’t figure out how to stop opponents from scoring at will. Real Salt Lake heads into its match against Minnesota United FC on Saturday having surrendered 11 goals over its past two MLS contests.
Real Salt Lake (4-10-2) has yielded 35 goals over 16 matches — the most of any MLS team. With defenders Danilo Acosta and Justen Glad and forward Brooks Lennon and Sebastian Saucedo back from international duty with the US U-20 national team, starting spots are up for grabs.
