Word got around on Monday that Tiger Woods, after a recent Golf Digest story about a stuttering 12-year-old boy who was being bullied in school, had sent a letter to Dillon encouraging him to stay strong. According to the story, Dillon was being bullied in school so badly that he once contemplated suicide.
Nobody had seen the letter since that story was published, but on Tuesday, in a follow up story from Golf Digest, Dillon reveals to the world the letter the 14-time major champ sent to him. In the note, Woods described how he overcame his own stutter as a child:
I know what it’s like to be different and to sometimes not fit in.
