Safety Rashad Johnson was a significant part of the defense for an Arizona Cardinals team that finished 13-3 as the NFC West champions last season, but he signed with the Tennessee Titans on Friday as the team announced.
Johnson posted on Instagram following the announcement:
Josina Anderson of ESPN first reported Johnson had agreed to a one-year deal with the Titans. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network confirmed the deal.
This is somewhat surprising considering Johnson stated his desire this offseason to remain with the franchise that drafted him in 2009 for the rest of his career, per Robby Baker of 12News.
