The Las Vegas Raiders acquired a new dealer this offseason in the form of Geno Smith from the Seattle Seahawks.
A short time after welcoming the signal caller to Sin City, they'll hope Smith deals them a royal flush following the trade. On Thursday, the Raiders gifted the quarterback a contract extension that keeps him in the silver and black for the next three seasons.
For the price of a third-round pick, Vegas significantly upgraded what was an unproductive quarterback room. In doing so, they may have successfully navigated having to invest a top draft pick into a market that doesn't have a lot of confident buyers at the NFL draft.
