Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers is officially in the record books.
As Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk, Bowers surpassed Chicago Bears legend Mike Ditka for the most receiving yards in a season for a rookie tight end. Ditka tallied 1,076 receiving yards during the 1961 campaign, and Bowers surpassed that total with a reception during Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

It has been a forgettable season for the 3-12 Raiders, but Bowers is a bright spot and a clear franchise cornerstone who should be a star for years to come.
