Raiders announce deal to stay in Oakland for 2016 season

The Raiders will play out the 2016 NFL season in Oakland. Not that they had many other options.

A one-year lease extension agreement has been made to continue playing at O.Co Coliseum, the franchise announced during a Thursday news conference. Raiders owner Mark Davis said the deal includes options for the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

Davis also announced the hiring of Larry MacNeil, a 49ers executive who oversaw the development of Levi’s Stadium, to the stadium development team.
