The Diamondbacks (21-18) are 3-3 through the first six games of a nine-game homestand after back-to-back losses to the Pirates on Saturday and Sunday. They squandered opportunities to win both games in the late innings and left a season-high 15 runners on base in Sunday's 6-4, 10-inning loss.
The Mets (16-20) have lost four in a row after getting swept by Milwaukee in a three-game series. They blew a six-run lead on Sunday, allowing the Brewers to score 10 runs in the last three innings of an 11-9 victory.
"We have a clubhouse full of veterans," Mets manager Terry Collins said.
