A three-game sweep of the Padres pushed the D-backs' major-league-leading home-field record to 24-8. It's the best home record after 32 games in the franchise's 20-year history.
The return home also perked up a Diamonbacks' offense that has been in a season-long slumber away from Chase Field. Chris Iannetta's seven-RBI game triggered a 15-run outburst on Thursday -- the most runs scored by the D-backs since June of 2014.
The Brewers (32-29) have played better on the road than in Milwaukee -- winning 15 of 25 games away from home. They hold a 1-game lead over the Cubs in NL Central despite going 3-4 on a just-completed homestand.
