Night one of the Stanley Cup playoffs' conference finals is a wrap, and the Nashville Predators have something to show for it after a back-and-forth of missed opportunities, a ton of shots on goal and, finally, a winning strike from James Neal in overtime to secure a 3-2 Game 1 victory.
John Gibson held steady in the net for the host Anaheim Ducks on Friday night, putting up with a whopping 46 shots from Nashville, staying active to back up Anaheim's deep defense and doing his best impression of the Preds' Pekka Rinne, who had his own handful of acrobatic moves to highlight yet another top-notch outing.
