Every one of the now-141 Preakness Stakes races have been held at Pimlico Race Course. It looks like it's safe to say the Baltimore track will remain the host for many, many more.
That wasn't the feeling only a year ago, when Sal Sinatra, general manager of the Maryland Jockey Club felt the second jewel of horse racing's Triple Crown might need to move to nearby Laurel Park.
"Right now, I'd say Laurel is in the lead," Sinatra told the Baltimore Sun right before the 140th running of the Preakness in May 2015.
